On February 12th, 2007, with great success Solomon Tencer Productions hosted world-renowned ballet gala "Stars of the 21st Century" in New York State Theatre, New York.
This year, gala showcased world's best ballet superstars which included Shoko Nakamura (Berlin State Opera Ballet), Anastasia Matvienko and Denis Matvienko (Bolshoi Ballet), Ronald Savkovic (Berlin State Opera Ballet)
, Desmond Richardson (Complexions Inc), Olesia Novikova and Leonid Sarafanov (Kirov Ballet), Lucia Lacarra and Cyril Pierre (Munich Ballet), Ashley Bouder and Joaquin De Luz (New York City Ballet), Alina Cojocaru and Johan Kobborg (Royal Ballet) and Benjamin Pech and Sylvia Azzoni (Paris Opera Ballet and Hamburg Ballet).
Following the gala, one of the most prestigious hotels of Manhattan – Pierre, on the Fifth avenue at a southern input in the Central park hosted a reception dinner in honour of artists and ballet gala royal visitors. Among the most prominent representatives of business, diplomatic, political and cultural elite of Russia were also present at the event: the first Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Kozyrev, the former chapter of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, and nowadays Chairman of Board of directors of Open Society " and " YUKOS " Victor Gerashchenko, the head of Mariinsky theatre of an opera and ballet – Valery Gergiev, the editor-in-chief of service and information of NTV – Tatyana Mitkova, the representative of the Russian Federation in the United Nations – Vitaly Tchurkin, the president and vice-president Parliament World Group – Jury Manilov and Valery Gorbatenkov, the president of Investment Trading Bank – Vladimir Gudkov, the chapter of a municipal duma of city of Murmansk – Sergey Soroka.
During the reception, artistic director Nadia Veselova and the stars of the ballet gala of "Stars of the 21st Century" were awarded ballet "Oscars" – "Brilliance of the 21st Century" gold medal awards. Medals are the exact copies of Order of Catherine the Great and were forged in Russian Federation's Royal Mint under special supervision of the event's sponsors. Awards were also given to the following individuals to recognize their excellence:: Valery Georgiev, one of the world’s most prominent conductors and a chief producer of Kirov Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. He was nominated in the category of Art: Mastership, Honor, Glory, and Sergey Soroka – in a in the category of " Society: Democracy, Leadership, People..
